AG advise sought to release full report on treasury bond scam

The advice of the Attorney General (AG) has been sought to release the full report of the Presidential Commission on the Central Bank treasury bond scam.President’s Secretary Austin Fernando said that he has sought the advise of the AG to make public the full report. The report found that the public suffered a loss of Rs. 11.5 billion as a result of the treasury bond deal. The report of the Presidential Commission which investigated the treasury bond scam was handed over to the President last December and to Parliament last January.
