SAVE Guyana brings mental health, violence workshop to Region 5

first_imgThe Suicide And Violence Eradication (SAVE) Guyana organisation will hold a mental health and domestic violence workshop to Region Five (Mahaica-Berbice) on Saturday, in efforts to reduce alarming statistics.According to the organisation, the participants range from doctors, nurses, and social workers, while the presenters include Canadian Certified Addiction Specialist, Shirvington Hannays; Training Director of SAVE Guyana, Leslyn Holder; and Drug Treatment Specialist, Philip Drayton.In recent time, there have been numerous cases of domestic violence in the region, which has led to fatalities.
